Messi continued the legacy, and in 2012 he scored the 233rd goal. At the age of 24, he became Barcelona’s all-time leading goal-scorer in La Liga by scoring this goal.

In 2012, he scored around 73 goals. This made him win his fourth player of the year award.

In 2013, he scored 46 La Liga goals, and this was a game-changer for them, and Barcelona lifted the trophy.

During his career, he won many trophies, and Messi is considered the world’s leading player in all formats.

In 2019, he won his sixth Ballon d’Or of his career and was named player of the year.

In 2021, Barcelona lifted the seventh Copa Del Rey title. This was the year he became a free agent. Due to the club’s financial issues, FC Barcelona needed more money to sign him again. That is the reason. In late 2021, Messi signed a contract with France’s football club, Paris Saint-Germain. He received the 7th Ballon d’Or.
